My Moppet Dolls are inspired by old photographs of little girls from a bygone era. She wears clothing to invoke a sense of nostalgia and her long legs are gently blushed at the knee.

Moppet Dolls are made with a very special linen/hemp blend fabric that has a very sturdy, vintage feel. Her body is stuffed with Canadian wool and her arms and legs are button jointed with antique mother-of-pearl buttons to give her charming pose ability. Her eyes are Victorian shoe buttons with hand embroidered details to create a unique individual with her own expression and her handmade wig from mohair adds to childlike charm. I’ve made her clothing from precious cotton and linen scraps from my own handmade wardrobe. Her wool felt boots are removable and adorned with a heart. Finally, her cheeks are blushed with a natural beeswax crayon and a label of authenticity is stitched in place.

Every doll is hand made by me in my studio with love and under a scrupulous eye. I use carefully selected new & antique materials of the highest quality. My process ensures each doll is one of a kind and will be a cherished friend for years to come.
