Like my Tiny Rag Dolls, My Little Sister Dolls are inspired by worlds within worlds and the desire to always have a trusted companion in one’s pocket.

June’s tea dyed cotton body is stuffed with Canadian wool and her arms and legs are jointed with antique mother-of-pearl buttons. I’ve made her wig from mohair and her face is gently embroidered. June is wearing a tea dyed cotton dress that is tied with a silk bow…underneath is a pair of underpants, hand knit from silk mohair. Unlike her sisters, June has a more detailed face, both painted and embroidered it gives her a unique look. Finally her cheeks are blushed with a natural beeswax crayon and a label of authenticity is stitched in place.

Every doll is hand made by me in my studio with love and under a scrupulous eye. I use carefully selected new & antique materials of the highest quality. My process ensures each doll is one of a kind and will be a cherished friend for years to come.
