Like my Tiny Rag Dolls, My Little Sister Dolls are inspired by worlds within worlds and the desire to always have a trusted companion in one’s pocket.

April’s tea dyed cotton body is stuffed with Canadian wool and her arms and legs are jointed with antique mother-of-pearl buttons. I’ve made her wig from mohair and her face is gently embroidered. April is wearing a Liberty of London cotton print dress that is tied with a silk bow…underneath is a pair of underpants, hand knit from silk mohair. Unlike her sisters. Finally her cheeks are blushed with a natural beeswax crayon and a label of authenticity is stitched in place.
